Blurb from Goodreads:

Aster. Violet. Tansy. Mallow. Clementine.

Sold as children. Branded by cursed markings. Trapped in a life they never would have chosen.

When Aster's sister Clementine accidentally murders a man, the girls risk a dangerous escape and harrowing journey to find freedom, justice, and revenge - in a country that wants them to have none of those things. Pursued by the land's most vicious and powerful forces - both living and dead - their only hope lies in a bedtime story passed from one girl to another, a story that only the youngest or most desperate would ever believe.

It's going to take more than luck for them all to survive.

My Review:

*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to Hot Key Books*

Aster, Clementine, Tansy, Mallow, and Violet live and work at a welcome house. It is a life they were sold into as children and the favors on their cheeks mark them as Good Luck Girls.
When Clementine accidentally kills a man, the young women manage to escape, but are being hunted by the law and soulless men with dark powers.
Their favors marking them as runaways, the group will need all the luck they can get to evade their pursuers.
Can they escape for good and find the freedom they so desperately want?

The gorgeous cover and blurb for The Good Luck Girls both intrigued me, and I did end up enjoying it.
The characters were likeable and relatable, and I was rooting for them. I liked that they had flaws and weren't perfect.
The setting was interesting and I really liked the Old West feel to the book as well as the supernatural elements.
The plot was good overall, but nothing that happened surprised me that much, and I did find my attention wandering once or twice.
There were some tough/dark subject matters in this book, but I thought they were handled well - trigger warnings include addiction, torture, and sex slavery.
The writing style was easy to follow, but I wasn't gripped.
One of my favourite things about The Good Luck Girls was the feeling of sisterhood between the characters.
I'm not sure if I will read the sequel or not, but I am intrigued to see where the series goes.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read.
