Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Want To Read Again

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week the topic is
Books I Want To Read Again

1. Sabriel (The Old Kingdom, #1) by Garth Nix

I last read Sabriel several years ago back when there were only three books in the series. Since then, Clariel and Goldenhand have been released and I believe there's another book coming out next year called Terciel and Elinor. Clariel is a prequel but Goldenhand is a sequel, so I'm planning to re-read Sabriel as well as Lirael and Abhorsen at some point before I get to Goldenhand.

2. Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle, #1) by Christopher Paolini

I'm ashamed to say that I still haven't read Inheritance, the fourth book in this series. As I read the first three books in this series over ten years ago, I will definitely have to re-read Eragon as well as the next two books before I eventually get to Inheritance.

3. Antigoddess (The Goddess War, #1) by Kendare Blake

This is another case where I need to re-read the first book in a series in order to finally finish that series. In this case, I've only read Antigoddess, the first book in this series. I've had copies of all three books in this series for several years, so I really must get around to reading them at some point.

4. The Bone Season (The Bone Season, #1) by Samantha Shannon

With the fourth book in this series releasing in only a few months, I'm planning to re-read all the previous books, the first of which is The Bone Season.

5. The Archived (The Archived, #1) by Victoria Schwab

I read The Archived several years ago and really enjoyed both it and the sequel, and would like to re-read it at some point.

6. A Curse So Dark and Lonely (Cursebreakers, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer

This was one of my favourite reads of 2019 and I've been putting off reading the sequel, A Heart So Fierce and Lonely, until the third book, A Vow So Bold and Deadly, comes out next year so that I can binge-read them all together.

7. Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I loved Illuminae the first time I read it last year and recently reading Memento, the prequel, has made me really want to re-read Illuminae.

8. The City of Brass (The Daevabad Trilogy, #1) by S.A. Chakraborty

I adore this series and can't rave about it enough. I want to re-read them all now that the trilogy is complete, but also because The City of Brass is being turned into a Netflix series! So, I'm planning to re-read at least the first book before I watch the show.

9. Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer

This is another series where I need to re-read books because I haven't read the last book, which in this case is Winter.

10. Not a Drop to Drink (Not a Drop to Drink, #1) by Mindy McGinnis

I've only read this once and that was back in 2014 and I really enjoyed it so I definitely need to re-read it at some point, as well as the sequel.

What books do you want to re-read?

  1. Great list! I'd really like to re-read The Lunar Chronicles and I loved the Daevabad Trilogy - I'm so excited for the Netflix series. I need to re-read Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen so I can read the newer books, too!

  4. My list also consists of books I need to reread in order to finally catch up on the series! When it comes to the books on your list, the only one I've actually read is Cinder, the rest have been on my TBR list for a while. So, hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on them for the first time and you'll be able to reread them soon!

  5. I've seen so many people raving about the Daevabad trilogy, and keep meaning to pick them up! I didn't realise they were being made into a Netflix series, though. Will need to pick them up before then!
