War of the Wilted (Garden of Thorns, #2) by Amber Mitchell
Publication Date: October 1, 2018
Publisher: Entangled Teen

Like flowers denied water, people are wilting under the emperor's tyranny.

Rose will not rest until the Gardener is dead. But there are bigger battles to fight, and Rayce—leader of the rebellion and the only man Rose has ever loved—believes their best chance at winning the war is to join forces with her sworn enemy.

Saving innocent people is more important than her quest for revenge. But their new ally can’t be trusted—and he knows her darkest secret. One betrayal could leave the war and Rayce’s life hanging in the balance, and Rose will need to make the ultimate sacrifice to save them all.

A Deleted Scene!

This scene was about 25 percent of the way in the book in the original
draft. Rayce has just caught Rose threatening the Gardener again while
she was in his cell, after being told she can’t do that and they have a
confrontation in the hallway that turns a little heated.

I liked this scene and it was fun to write something a little more heated
for them. They are passionate characters and in that particular section
of the book, I felt like they were just frustrated about the things that
were keeping them apart and trying to find a way to go around them to
get back to how they were.

This scene didn’t really work because it was too out of their characters
and my amazing editor mentioned that their behaviour might not mesh
with who they are. They both seemed too aggressive here. I liked the
passion in this scene but ultimately, I agreed. I’ve felt like it was really
important the whole time to portray them as a very healthy relationship,
even when they were at odds and this ultimately didn’t do that.

But, there is kissing so I don’t mind sharing it now!

“The difference is that I gave you that choice, Rose,” he says. “I
didn’t force you to go in there, I made it clear that we’d find another
way. Yun’s beard, it’s like you don’t even listen anymore.”
I jab my finger into my own chest. “I don’t listen? Me? Are you serious
right now?”
His stupidly handsome face drops lower, and I’m not sure what I want to
do with his mouth more, kiss him or punch him, but either way I want
to leave his lips swollen and bruised.
“How can I be anything less than serious with you? If I’m not, you walk
all over my authority.” His voice low, guttural, accentuating each word.
“I’m so tired of it.”
I match his tone. “I’m tired of you and the way you treat me like I’m a
child. I know that man down there, I know what he’s capable of. I don’t
need to be protected.”
His eyes widen and I can see the whole future I wanted for us trapped
inside them. My heart screams at me to end this before we both say
something we regret, but his intoxicating scent keeps my feet locked in
place.
“I know you don’t.” His hands are in my hair then as he presses himself
against me, the rocks of the tunnel jabbing into my back as he throws us
up against it. And gods help me, I match his passion with my own desire,
letting it roll over us in vicious waves.
He kisses my next words right off my lips, his rough and unhindered by
the usual tenderness he holds. This isn’t one of those kisses that mends
everything within me, it doesn’t come close to sewing the mile wide gap
that has been wedged in between us, but it does sweep me off my feet as
his arms wrap around my body and pin me to the wall. His mouth does
match the anger and frustration coursing through me, acknowledging and
welcoming it, teasing out my fury to lick his.
Something animalistic wells inside my chest as I claw his shoulders, drag
my hands across his robe like I might rip it off. But no matter how much we
fight, I still can’t find that the thing makes us click into place, everything else
is too heavy.
It takes everything I have left to rip my lips from him and push him away from
me. The second we part, the cold air attacks my skin and I stare into his face,
half terrified that he’ll kiss me again and even more terrified that I might let him.
So instead of sticking around to let him, I take a few steps away, putting actual
distance between us.
“Then stop treating me that way.” My voice comes out breathless though I fight
to hide it.

  2. It is very hard to find anyone who doesn't have any attraction for garden. Make one garden is very easy but maintaining that somehow hard. Also sometimes we won't be able for removing all the rubbish from our big garden. That's why on that time we have to take help from garden maintenance gold coast as they have very experienced gardeners so its very easy for them to rebuild our gardens perfectly.
